Partner – Mike has loved and worked on bikes since he was old enough to lose his dad’s tools.

After years in the high end construction industry Mike was presented the opportunity to take a chance and chase a dream. He and Lisa jumped at it and Shots and Sprockets was born! After a few years servicing both private clients and commercial out of the van the chance to open a true storefront with Lisa and John came up and he took it!

“We don’t sell bikes we build bikes and relationships” and “taking the training wheels off a child’s bike is the greatest joy I can have at work” are two of his favorite sayings.

These days Mike spends less time in the saddle than he’d like to but is involved with his children’s softball, lacrosse and schools and is working on getting our coffee service up and running.

Partner – I’m Lisa…the silent, silent, silent, partner for Shots and Sprockets and life partner to Mike.

We call Seattle and Magnolia home which keeps our family of 5 and two Bernese Mountain dogs and German Shepherd busy. We’ve been fortunate enough to bring this idea of bikes and coffee to fruition. We thank our school communities and our bicycle and coffee friends for their support.

Store Manager – Our shop manager, Scott Rock, has been in the industry for decades, and is a wealth of knowledge seldom found in bike shops. He has raced everything from BMX to top level criteriums.  He has a bike collection sure to make any bicycle junkie feel better about their own bike addiction. In his spare time, he loves mountian biking and spending time with his wife. He also has an encyclopedic knowledge of everything Campangnolo and pre 90’s punk-rock. The thing you’ll hear most from him at the shop is “Yeah Mike you told me that story”.

Our newest addition was born, raised and schooled in New England. He and his partner made the move to Seattle just before Covid hit. Matt is a rare gem of a person that can do anything you throw at him with a smile and not just bike related things. Do you have questions on super heroes? How about Star Wars? What do you know about Magic the Gathering? Do you have a favorite quasar? A question on land use in Rhode Island? How about leatherwork or assembling antique time pieces?He’s your guy and we’re lucky to have him. If asked what the most difficult thing to do at the shop is,  he’ll tell you “Believing half of the stories Mike tells about growing up in Hawaii in the 70’s and 80’s.”
