The foundation for every tune-up. We clean the bike, inspect for wear or damage and adjust brakes. We lubricate the drivetrain and check derailleur limits for accuracy. We perform minor wheel truing, too. Finally, we torque check all fasteners. This allows us to become familiar with your bike and to identify any areas of concern. We service standard bikes, E-bikes and E-bike Haulers.

In addition to the full Safety Dance, the Seattle Scrubdown means we’ll degrease your drivetrain and eliminate the harsh road grime that sends chains and cassettes to an early grave. Your bike will run smoothly and quietly, and we’ll relube it with season-appropriate products. We will also clean your braking surfaces to slow down the wear on your rims or rotors.

The Double Shot goes deeper into the bike. Wheels come off, spokes re-tensioned, rims trued and hubs adjusted. Brake pads are resurfaced or replaced, and we service cables or hydraulic pistons. Derailleurs are lubed and adjusted, and we will align the vulnerable derailleur hanger. We’ll dial in the shifting, adjust the headset and bottom bracket and torque all fasteners before we test ride.

Our overhaul, a tribute to Andy Hampsten’s epic ride in the ’88 Giro d’Italia, climbs above the Double Shot with installation of all new cables, housing, brake pads, drivetrain components, grips or bar tape, headset bearings, hub bearings and bottom bracket bearings. We bleed hydraulic brake bleeds, top off sealant in tubeless tires and lubricate suspension pivots and seals.
